I had a fun idea to honor this photo… I printed a large version of the photo at Office Max.  The resulting print is two feet long and eleven inches high.  I carefully brought the large print into Home Depot where I found a piece of wood about the right height.  I enlisted the helpful Home Depot employee working in the lumber department to cut the piece of wood to my spec (free service!).  After painting the wood and allowing it to dry, I attached the print to the wood using furniture tacks.  Since they are small, you have to push them into the wood a bit before you can hammer the tack.   Try this!

Step one: apply paint. I used an acrylic paint in graphite gray.

Step two: determine the best fit for placing the photo on the wood.

Step three: place the furniture tack and secure with a hammer.
