“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, ‘thank you,’ that would suffice.” – Meister Eckhart
How could I follow-up yesterday’s fail post? Shifting my focus from my failures, deficiencies, flaws, etc. to gratitude (for all of it!). Making every effort to reboot to grateful… for the ups, downs, spins, tumbles, worries and disappointments. Several years ago I wrote a journal dedicated to gratitude (thank you Oprah) but somewhere along the way the routine slipped away. I used to ask the girls every night what was the best thing that happened during their day. A habit I will re-visit starting tonight.
How can I be creative in bringing into conscious awareness all the splendid things happening in life?
I can start by walking the talk. I have cultivated a habit for the girls that they must write heartfelt thank you notes. For everything. But personally I haven’t finished thank you notes from my own February birthday or for recent kind gestures. I will start here (using these adorable Smock cards)!
Shifting to grateful. Thank you your kind comments and support. Endless gratitude!!!
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” – Wayne Dyer
