I set the scene to launch creative zen time with some candles… Aveda candles simply rock!  Of course then I was distracted trying to capture the perfect flame photo. I really have to work on focus.  FOCUS.  Tomorrow my focus will hopefully be laundry…

I started by whipping up a batch of paper mache paste. My recipe:  3/4 white glue to 1/4 water.

I used a leftover Noodles & Company bowl as the form for my creation. I gathered my scrap Smock Paper leftovers that I set aside for this specific someday project (today is now someday!).  You can purchase Smock on Etsy if you click here! smockpaper on Etsy.

The girls have an affinity for Noodles & Company and they are loyal, loyal fans to their favorite dishes:  macaroni & cheese and buttered noodles.  Every single visit their order is exactly the same. Back to focus on the project at hand.

The messy step of dipping my paper scraps into the glue/water mixture applying about three layers all over the bowl.

I didn’t worry about perfect edges as I plan to trim it up once the bowl dries completely.

Of course I can’t use this as a cereal bowl but it will be perfect for my purpose. I am going to use it to hold my stamps at my desk so maybe, just maybe I will be able to find a stamp when I need one.
