The Friday project: creative bliss preparing for a top-secret surprise party for a lovely couple to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.  So thrilled to honor the happy couple.

The groom-to-be has a background in designing and manufacturing mason jars so we are using that detail as a bit of a theme.  Think mason jars repurposed as  flower vases, candle holders, photo frames, drinking glasses, etc.   I submerged a photo of the lovely couple into a mason jar filled with olive oil for a sepia spin on a photo frame.

Every guest will go home with “canned” candy in a mason jar. I topped the lid with the couples’ photo and the text, candy lovers.

Planning for games… like guess the price for a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine via sample glasses.  I covered the bottle’s label with pretty paper and an image of the couple in a repeating pattern as a wine wrap.  What is under my homemade label?  A $3.97 bottle of Lucky Duck Chardonnay and a $39 Raymond Cabernet!

Decorating… and waiting for the party to get underway!

We plan to shower them with love, despite their plea for “no showers.”
