Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer’s day,
listening to the murmur of water or watching the clouds float across the sky is by no means
a waste of time.” – John Lubbock

Today was a gentle shift into August with a slow-paced day of trail running and a visit to the world’s largest Loon Fest in Mercer, Wisconsin.

For the past couple years I have been looking for letters in nature attempting to assemble the alphabet.  On my trail run today I found the letters:  r, e, s, t, x and y.  I interpreted my discovery as a sign from the universe that I needed rest; so the afternoon rain meant it was the perfect setting for a nap!
