The usual peak flower season in the Southeastern Wisconsin should be underway but given the severe lack of rain my blooms are small and weak… I can only imagine what local farmers are facing in their fields.  We should be participating in a creative rain dance today to muster up some showers.  Rain prayers?  Check.  The forecast? No rain expected in the next 10 days.

Exhibit A: weak blooms!

Today I added a perfect flower to an outdoor pillow.  Using the Silhouette Cameo, I found a flower shape and printed the image on contact paper as my template.  I used indoor/outdoor spray paint; leaving the flower imprint  on my purple pillow.  I couldn’t muster the happy to make a nice bright yellow flower, but I like the results.

Leaving yoga tonight, I was rewarded with this beautiful and serene scene.
